Welcome to Pool Valley’s First Blog!
Brighton’s music scene is loud, proud and buzzing with creativity – and Pool Valley is right at the centre of it. We’re a student-run record label passionate about community building, music creation and artist development. We’re always scouting for new talent to shape the next wave of local music as being at the heart of it is what we strive for.
We welcome you to our new blog – where we’ll be taking you behind the scenes to tell you more about what we do and share our team’s thoughts on trends, gigs and our mission as a label.
Who Are We?
Pool Valley is a CIC (Community Interest Company) run by BIMM Students in Brighton, with an aim to build Brighton’s unique sound. We’re made up of creatives accross A&R, marketing, visual media, radio plugging and more. In September, we launched our sister label, Venerate Records, which focuses on dance and club sounds, supporting producers and DJs with a unique “Bring the Beat Back” approach to the scene.

Whether you’re a student, local artist, a music professional or just curious about what Pool Valley is up to, this is your space to learn more about what we do! We put a lot of hard work and dedication into everything that we do, and our community’s support is particularly important to us!
What We’re Most Excited About
We’re extremely excited about our monthly event, Pulse Culture, launching at Dust Brighton on the 1st of May. The event will bring together live bands, and DJs on the same lineup – creating a genre-blending, unique experience for the Brighton audience. Our team describes Pulse Culture as; unique, fresh, fun, innovative, different and iconic! Buy your tickets here:

Our Plans
You’ll be hearing from different voices across the label, with features like “Gig of the Month,” creative industry thoughts, “Marketing Tips” and plenty of fun team content along the way. We’re here to help artists grow, and we’re constantly looking for fresh talent to feature, sign or book for events.
